The RFS has confirmed that they have been called to a small flare up over a patch of heath, burning within containment lines at the location of the bush fire from Wednesday September 13.
The fire on Wednesday caused the Lakes Way to be closed for several hours, before the blaze was brought under control.
Fire fighters worked hard to prevent damage to any private property as the fire threatened houses on the outskirts of Tuncurry, before they were able to bring it under control.
