The MidCoast Libraries team will soon open its doors to students for a study seminar and a series of free study evenings at Forster library
Great Lakes College, senior campus, will host the seminar Manipulate your Maker by Mitchell Grotte on Tuesday, July 25 from 11am-12:30pm for students.
The book was written as an English study survival guide for the HSC and Mitchell will provide advice and techniques on creative writing, and essay writing essentials, to help students build a skill-set for the compulsory English unit.
“The additional study seminar will be extremely beneficial for those about to enter their final school exams and we encourage local students to get involved with these fantastic educational opportunities and resources,” MidCoast Libraries events officer, Danielle Donnelly said.
Further to the seminar, HSC students are invited to come along to Forster library on Wednesday, July 26 and August 9 from 5-8pm, to prepare for their final exams in a stress free environment.
The free study nights provide students with a comfortable space away from home and the opportunity to meet with friends for group study sessions.
HSC students will have exclusive use of the library for group or individual study as well as free WiFi, printing, photocopying and snacks to ensure energy levels don’t fall during the night.
“Due to their popularity, we host several study nights each year to support HSC students during this important time,” Ms Donnelly said.
“The library is a great space where students can focus and have all the necessary resources at hand” says Danielle Donnelly.
