For many years the branch has been conducting its meetings in the Tuncurry Memorial Hall.
A small fee to the hall committee assisted with the upkeep and maintenance of the building.
Wanting to introduce a more social feel to the monthly branch meetings, Country Labor relocated to the Tuncurry Beach Bowling Club.
The change of venue has been a great success with good attendance and contribution to debate on local, state and national issues, spokesman Graham Robinson said.
As a result of moving the meeting venue, branch members were concerned about the loss of revenue to the Tuncurry Memorial Hall so a motion was unanimously passed to make a donation to the memorial hall committee.
The cheque was passed on by the Forster-Tuncurry Labor Branch president John Weate to the Tuncurry Memorial Committee president, Nyaree Donnelly.
