Wet weather did not deter about 3000 people turning out for the Great Lakes Motorfest at John Wright Park, Tuncurry.
Fords, Holdens, Nissans, British MGs, Chryslers and Mercedes’ were among the 90 strong field that took over the park for the day.
Vintage caravans that were produced in Forster during the 1950s were also a major attraction.
A feature of this year's event were rare British sports cars known as Morgans.
President of the Great Lakes Historic Automobile Club Cliff Stockley said numbers were down compared to past events but was still well received by the public.
“It’s a real community event.
“The people of Forster Tuncurry get behind it every year,” Mr Stockley said.
The Westpac Rescue Helicopter service was on site to provide a barbecue and receive generous donations from the community.
He thanked sponsors Great Lakes Nissan, NRMA classic car insurance and other local businesses for funding the trophies and providing assistance on the day.
The annual event will return to John Wright Park next year.
