Donating just a couple of hours would assist the Salvos in their annual quest to raise much needed funds for the thousands of Australian’s who are doing it tough.
The Red Shield Appeal in the Great Lakes will be held on Many 27 and 18.
We are encouraging people to get their family and friends together and form a team to collect in an area, Tuncurry-based pastor, Lt Phillip Sutcliffe said.
When you volunteer you help raise vital funds for the running of The Salvation Army’s vast network of social services that assist more than one million people around Australian every year, he said.

"The Red Shield Appeal is a great way to get out and enjoy our beautiful community as well as helping raise vital funds to help those doing it tough in our community."
Volunteers are asked to meet at The Salvation Army, 7 South Street, Tuncurry at 8:30am on either morning for team briefings. Teams (4 -5 people) collect a designated map area, and all supplies are provided.
