BASKETBALLERS from the Manning and Great Lakes areas involved with the Taree Tornadoes junior representative program continue to shine on the Primary School Sports Association (PSSA) stage.

Five gained Hunter honours following recent selection trials held in Maitland.

Navren Willett from Taree West Public School made the boys team with fellow Taree West students Taya Hunter and Annika Scott selected into the girls team.

Isabella Allan from Forster Public also gained selection into the girls team with school mate Mikayla Collins named as a reserve.

The State championships for boys will be held in Goulburn in July and the girls will travel to Canberra in August.

Meanwhile Taree West, Wingham, Taree West and Forster played State PSSA matches at Taree this week.

Taree West girls took on Wingham and Taree West boys played Forster with both games under the control of referees Liam Campbell and Kaylah Thompson. Both Taree West teams soared to victory and now continue on the road to even more difficult assignments.
