The fundraising event assists in the ongoing running costs of the two school buses.
Local business Forster Cycles kindly donated a bike as a prize for a student who raised a significant amount.
Principal Mr Rick Clissold congratulated student Dylan Cavenagh as the winner of the bike.
The Walkathon was held around the school block and allowed students to enjoy valuable exercise as well as raising money to assist the school to keep both buses operating.
The buses are used by many groups at Forster Public School for a variety of purposes, ranging from transporting sporting teams, choir, band and others trips to local venues.
The buses also provide opportunities for unit classes to access the local community.
Every member of the school community participated in the Walkathon.
