The secretary of the Taree Local Collectors Club discovered a photo of a young soldier at the Bucketts Way Waste Management Facility late last year and rescued it.
“Who is the boy? He does look young and has a lovely face. Was he a local?,” she asked in November when her discovery and request for more information was first published in the Manning Great Lakes Extra.
Since then she has gained some more information.
“Alan Small (at Taree Camera House) got the photo out of the frame and we found two names – Clifford and Robins.”

This photo also had the name Norton Trevalre Studios connected with it. An online search found it was a photography studio in Little Collins Street in Melbourne.
Also inside the frame was an old photo of a little girl, which was stamped with the name Burnett Studio, Unley SA (South Australia).
