Forster’s Oliver Moran led the charge by taking out the 15-year boys event in a time of 35.32 seconds in the final.
The 15-year-old also produced an impressive fourth place in the men’s superclass final, only pipped by national and world standouts Andrew Hughes, Alex Cameron and Cody Fox.
Oliver now sits in second place in the overall standings for the 15-year boys’ division.
Oliver’s brother Levi finished with a respectable sixth place in the under 13 boys’ division. Twins Harrison and Jayden Chambers spent the day battling it out for sibling supremacy.
Harrison managed a fourth place ahead of his brother in fifth in the 13-14 boys’ cruiser final.
Not to be outdone, Jayden then turned the tables and secured fourth in the 13 boys’ final, ahead of Harrison who came fifth.
A total of 38 riders from the Manning Great Lakes area took to the course among the 400 strong field.
Wet conditions leading up to the event threatened to hamper the track’s condition but through the efforts of club members and volunteers, it met the requirements of racing.
Many racers at the event praised the Manning Valley BMX Club for the efforts made to host the event.
The Manning Valley BMX Club has thanked all sponsors and volunteers for their contributions to the event.
