However, the Office of Sport and Golf NSW could pretty much have the answer to this problem.
The two entities are conducting a six-week golf for seniors program which is ideal for everyone aged 55 and over who want to learn to play golf.
Sports Medicine Australia recognises that regular golf can offer a range of health benefits – improve stamina, cardiovascular fitness, burns calories, reduces stress and develops muscular endurance.
The program will be conducted each Monday from April 24 until May 29 at Forster Tuncurry Golf Club at 10.30am.
Bookings close April 17
The six week program one hour per day, one day per week program has been designed for those of you who want to learn to play golf or to simply improve their game.
The cost to participants is only $99 which includes all the equipment and instruction needed to enjoy the game of golf and includes morning tea, six one-hour golf lessons, equipment andgreen fees.
In the last two weeks participants will go out onto the golf course to play one or two holes with their professional instructor and some members of the club.
Additionally, participants who complete the program will receive special membership offers from the host club.
Office of Sport development officer Hamish Neal said it was a great opportunity to bring a friend and experience golf in a relaxed, social and safe environment.
“This is part of a State-wide program to be staged at 15 clubs from Ocean Shores on the State’s far north coast to Liverpool in Sydney’s west,” Mr Neal said.
Numbers are limited and interested people should book as soon as possible.
