Racing for Motorsport25, Reece produced his best result of the event in race three where he placed seventh.
The fourth and final race of the event brought about issues for him however as sustained second gear problems hampered his result.
With a lot of second gear corners stationed around the track, Reece managed to adapt to the changes to bring home the competition points.
Reece will be looking to better this performance in round two of the competition at Symmons Plains, Tasmania on April 7 to 9.
With a seven round program set for the championship, he is also scheduled to race in Perth, Townsville, Sydney, Surfers Paradise and Newcastle.
Reece had a commendable 2016 season, ranked fourth in the rookie category.
