The September council elections, asset management, financial position and the merger progress have been placed on the agenda for discussion.

The meeting will be held from Monday, March 6 until Tuesday, March 21  at towns throughout the region.

Interim general manager, Glenn Handford, said the meetings would provide members of the community with an a opportunity for to find out about key council issues. 

The meetings will also give attendees the opportunity to ask questions.

Mr Handford along with directors, and  Lisa Schiff, Steve Embry, Paul De Szell and Ron Hartley will host the meetings.

"We value the chance to get to know people in our communities and chat about opportunities, challenges and concerns," Mr Handford said.

“It's a great way for us to improve the quality of decision making and stay in touch with local issues.

“We are committed to providing services that deliver value for our customers and a financially sustainable long-term future.

“The sessions will include a report on the efficiencies and savings already realised through the merger.”

Also on the agenda is an update on the "What is MidCoast" project and its outcomes so far, especially in terms of a logo design.

Hallidays Point Black Head Surf Club, March 6, from  6pm; Tea Gardens Baptist Church Hall,  March 7, 6pm; Bulahdelah School of Arts, March14,  6pm; Forster Council Chambers, March 21, 10am and Stroud School of Arts Hall, March  21,  6pm.
