Aptly named Forster gardener Herb Bennett has grown his biggest Big Beef tomato yet. And that’s saying something – he’s been planting for 44 years.
“It’s a monster, I’ve never seen anything quite like it,” he chuckled, promising to stew it up if it ripens.
Herb said he planted it in “ordinary garden soil" back in October and others only reached a quarter of its size. The world record in America weighed in at almost 4kg in 2015.
