Jonathon Newman and Jason Coombes return as first and reserve grade coaches, and will look to work even more closely together across the two grades to ensure the Tigers perform at their best in 2017.
Ron Schumann and Al Groth will reprise their roles as specialist defensive and attacking coaches, with Kev Chapman once again in charge of goalkeeper training.
Matt Camilleri, Tim Barber and Stu Ireland will act as assistant coaches.
“It will be interesting to see how we line up this year,” Jonathon Newman said.
“We’ve got a few players who finished school last year who look to be moving on to university and other opportunities,” he said.
“Plus there’s been a couple of retirements as well.
“Many of our reserve grade side were pressing hard for first grade selection last year, so these are the guys we’ll be looking at to make the leap into the top grade alongside our regulars, along with one or two coming back from long term injury.
“We’ve got some great junior players coming through, but we are definitely looking for some new players to bolster the squad as well.”
The Tigers finished second in both grades in the regular season last year, and both grades fell one game short of qualifying for the grand final.
The competition will have a different look to it this year, with newcomers Wauchope keen to make a strong showing.
The Port Macquarie clubs, which filled the bottom three places last year, will look to improve their standings as well.
All three of the Port clubs have new coaches and with the probable influx of some new playing talent with the expansion of the universities in Port Macquarie, this will put a new complexion on the league.
The Tigers will resume training on Monday, February 13 at the Tuncurry Sports Complex on Stewart Parade, with training sessions starting at 6pm sharp.
All interested players (under 18s through to seniors) are most welcome to attend.
