There’s a back room at Forster library filled with 154 boxes, each containing multiple copies of the same book. These are gratefully picked up by members of 35 active book clubs from across the region.

With holidays here, January’s editions of the Great Lakes Advocate will feature some of their favourite reads. Here’s the first:

Burgess Beach Book Club nominated The Miniaturist by debut novellist Jessie Burton. Set in 17th century Amsterdam, it was declared “compelling, mesmerising and surprising.”
