“ The Uniting Community Church have developed the event into a lovely family occasion which has some wonderful talent to entertain and lots of fun throughout,” organiser Alan Tickle said.
“ The line-up this year will see some new faces to Black Head Carols and includes Fran Atkinson and Dave Cavanagh who are both from Hallidays Point.
“They are supported by Mick Standen from the local band Circus Mule.
“The beautiful voice of Mary Camphuis returns to Black Head and the stalwarts Paul Eade and Raelene Brown will entertain the youngsters.”
The star performers last year were the Hallidays Point Public School and Kiddies Hut and they will be performing again.
“ The youngsters had a great time last year and the audience loved it, so it is great to have them on stage again this year.
“Santa said they were the most well behaved children he has seen and promised to arrive bearing gifts again this year.
“ The Probus choir will also perform and as usual the compere is 2re’s Anthony Zanos.”
The Manning Valley Concert Band has been busy rehearsing for a few Christmas events in the area.
“ The band is a wonderful asset to the community and a gold coin donation at the event helps support them and cover other costs.
“The band’s ongoing support and that of the local Lions and MidCoast Council really do make a significant contribution to the enjoyment of all involved.”
Last year an estimated 450 people attended which included 200 children with families setting up on rugs or chairs.
Battery operated candles are available for sale which creates a great spectacle later at night for the event which kicks off at 6.15pm with the Lions barbecue in action before then.
