A regular feature in Forster, Tea Gardens and Stroud libraries throughout the year, Turtletime is a popular preschool storytime program designed to help the region’s tiniest residents develop a love for reading before they head off to kindergarten.
And to mark the end of the year, parents and their little ones are invited to the Turtletime party to celebrate Christmas with their friends.
MidCoast Council libraries manager, Chris Jones is looking forward to welcoming Turtletime regulars to enjoy what’s sure to be a fun conclusion to a successful year.
“We’ve had a fantastic response to our Turtletime program this year and we hope everyone can make it along to our Christmas Party,” he said.
“Library staff in all three locations have an exciting day of activities planned, with party food and photo opportunities for parents, children, and their friends.”
Children and their parents or carers are encouraged to come along and share Christmas stories, songs and craft at Tea Gardens library on Monday, December 5 from 9:30-10:30am, at Stroud library on Friday, December 9 from 10:30am-noon, and at Forster library from 10.30am-noon on Wednesday, December 14.
Along with goodie bags for Turtletime tots, food and drinks will be available, but parents and carers are asked to bring along a share plate to add to the festivities.
An extra special guest will also be in attendance at the Forster Turtletime Christmas Party, with the U3A Puppeteers inviting Santa to come along and join in the fun.
The Turtletime Christmas Party is a free event in Tea Gardens, Stroud and Forster libraries.
“There’s no need to book a place, just show up, bring a plate of food to share and join the fun.”
