Residents who knew Indy Lee Henderson, the three-year-old who was tragically crushed by a falling war memorial at Black Head on Saturday, have put out a call to the community to help her devastated family.

Described as a gorgeous girl who will be missed by many, Indy Lee Henderson was visiting from Airds in western Sydney when she attended Black Head Bowling Club with her extended family to celebrate a 50th birthday party. Indy was with a group of children playing on and around the sandstone war memorial when the vertical stone slab fell off its plinth on top of her.
Close family friend Kristie Collier in Campbelltown has listed a crowd funding campaign to help the family through this terrible time and local residents – friends, family, or strangers – have put their support behind it to help cover the funeral costs, any counselling or medical help and time off from work which they will need to heal.
”Let’s do this Great Lakes – let’s help ease the pain and stress as much as we can for this beautiful little family,” writes Bec Adams in a Facebook plea, referring to the upcoming Christmas.
