Ambulance services were called to the house on Tahiti Street in Forster shortly before midday to treat severe lacerations to the man’s left forearm. Suffering from loss of blood, he was treated at the scene and transported by Westpac Rescue Helicopter to John Hunter Hospital for further treatment.
The following day the chopper returned to the region after a man in his 40s collided with a tree on Wootton Way at Coolongolook. The patient was trapped inside the vehicle for a period of time, with injuries to his head, chest as well as leg pain. He was subsequently extricated and transported for further treatment and is reported to be in a stable condition at John Hunter Hospital.
