The annual Mini Field of Women celebration began at Tuncurry Beach Bowling Club with guest speaker, breast care nurse, Annette who spoke of her role supporting women and families in the local community.
At John Wright Park in beautiful weather the ceremony continued with local MP Stephen Bromhead announcing that Breast Friends can fundraise on March 13 at Seniors’ Day at Club Forster.
Great Lakes Breast Cancer Support Group has many thanks to give to the generosity of the local community and to the loyalty and annual donations received from Bakers Delight Peter and Vicki Sloan and many "behind the scenes” donors.
The group also wishes to extend thanks to the many speakers who give of their spare time so generously at the support group meetings.
Great Lakes Breast Cancer Support Group extends warm wishes to all the community members to have a peaceful and welcome Christmas vacation time.
The next meeting on December 7 at 6.30pm welcomes all members for a short meeting followed by Christmas dinner.
