Like many youngsters in an Olympic year Tarli didn’t hesitate to confess her dream, and long-term goal was to represent Australia at a future games event.
But, she also mentioned her immediate goal was to represent NSW at the National Athletics Carnival.
And, with the blink of an eyelid, and impressive times, Tarli qualified in three events, the 100m, 200m and the NSW relay team after competing in the NSW PSSA State Athletics Carnival last week.
In the lead-up to this month’s State carnival the Hallidays Point Public School student broke a number of zone and regional athletics records.
The Nationals will be held in Sydney from November 25-29.
