As part of this process, the MidCoast team has developed a draft policy to standardise fees and processing of Planning Proposal (PP) and Development Control Plan (DCP) applications across the Great Lakes, Manning and Gloucester regions.
These types of applications are relevant to planning and surveying consultancies who regularly lodge PPs and DCPs on behalf of local landowners and developers.
Following yesterday’s (October 26) council meeting, the draft policy is now on public exhibition and will be open for feedback until Wednesday, November 23.
MidCoast Council’s manager of strategic planning, Roger Busby, is looking forward to streamlining processes and offering the same fees and level of service across the board.
“As a newly merged council, we now have five admin centres across the region with slightly differing ways of advising on, lodging and processing applications,” he said.
“Our aim with this policy is to deliver a quality and consistent service.”
