One of only 40 medals awarded in the State-wide competition, more than 115,000 students this year submitted entries in the colouring in or short story sections.
Forster Public School is justifiably proud of Jasmine’s achievement, Anne Evans said.
The ultimate aim of this initiative was to provide students with a greater understanding on the importance of friendship and cultural diversity, she said.
At an awards presentation held in Sydney during NAIDOC Week the Minister praised the competition and their purpose as a perfect opportunity to bring Australians together.
“Congratulations Jasmine”.
