Following investigations, detectives from Manning/Great Lakes Local Area Command executed a search warrant at a home on Head Street, Forster about 10.20am on Wednesday October 26.
During a search of the home, police allegedly located and seized a laptop computer and a USB thumb drive which were secured for further analysis.
A 59-year-old man was arrested and taken to Forster Police Station where he was charged with three counts of possess child abuse material, and two counts of disseminate child abuse material.
The man was refused bail to appear at Forster Local Court today (Thursday October 27).
