According to a spokesperson from the rescue helicopter service, the children were playing in the family driveway when they ran into one another and sustained some injuries.
Following treatment by a doctor and paramedics a seven-year-old girl and a three-year-old boy were flown to hospital.
The girl had a suspected fractured leg, while the young boy had a possible head injury.
The children’s mother accompanied them on the aircraft.
According to a post on the Great Lakes Advocate Facebook page, the children are doing well following their flight to Newcastle.
The three-year-old was released this morning, but the little girl has a long six week or so recovery.
