Swimming North Coast (SNC) sent swimmers to this event as squad and was part of the multi class development day held in April at Evans Head.
There were five swimmers who were entered as SNC and three other entered as their own club.
In total 35 medals were won by the eight swimmers.
A massive result for such a small squad of swimmers.
The in the SNC squad Sarah McIntosh S14 (Laurieton) won five gold medals; Jamie Plunkett S14 (Grafton) won two gold, and three silver; Morgan Jean S14 (Wauchope) won two gold, two silver and one bronze; Clair McIntosh (Laurieton) won three silver and one bronze and Kimberly Goskorn (Port Macquaire) won two bronze.
McKinley Armison swum for Richmond Valley S8 and won five gold; Kelvin Giles who swum for Forster S6 won four gold and Benjamin Auckram who swum for Lismore Workers who two gold and three silver.
Kelvin’s times were 50 freestyle, 1.06.24 PB, 100 freestyle, 2.35.19 PB, 50 backstroke, 1.13.94 PB and 100 backstroke 2.41.62 PB.
These results were amazing and full credit must go to SNC president, Ann Pilkie, who put a lot of effort into getting this multi class squad off the ground and also for receiving a grant to allow this project to follow through.
