I was pleased to see, comparative fuel pricing made available at the NSW Government’s Fuel Check Website (https://www.fuelcheck.nsw.gov.au), a few weeks ago.

Fuel retailers are required to update their retail fuel prices on this site on a regular basis, and failing to maintain updates can result in retailers being fined for not keeping their pricing updated on a regular basis.
Shortly after the new website went live, most of the Forster/Tuncurry service stations reduced their pricing and kept those lower prices constant, that is up until about a week ago, when they all increased their pricing by up to 10 cents per litre all within a day or two of each other.
They are back to their old tricks of taking advantage of regional areas, including Forster/Tuncurry.
I would suggest that all residents and visitors take advantage of lower fuel prices that may be available in surrounding areas every time they fill up and if travelling, buy only the minimal amount of fuel, enough to get to a less expensive area on their trip.
Prices can be compared at https://www.fuelcheck.nsw.gov.au or if you have a Smartphone, you can download and install the same information by downloading the NRMA’s app, “my nrma”, available for Android devices from “Google Play” and for Apple devices from “App Store”. Once installed on your device, open “my nrma” and select “Fuel”.
