An excellent turnout of 16 boats enjoyed perfect conditions as an 8-10 knot south easterly flowed over Wallis Lake for the afternoon.
In the catamaran division racing was tight, with line honours awarded to John Loadsman in all three races ahead of Brian Bath and the father/son team of Tom and Scott Farley.
In the yardstick point score it's likely that Bruce Anderson will collect a win or two on his Hobie 14 once the calculations are made.
In the laser class, winter training by Bryce Haffner and Ethan White showed immediate results. Bryce won two races, while Ethan won the third race.
The minor places were filled by Bill Stokes, Gavan Periera, Caleb White and Adam Turville.
Racing continues each Sunday, with the first day of junior sailing scheduled for Sunday, September 2
