Horse racing is an important event for local business and contributes to our economy in many ways.
This month's Forster Tuncurry Business Chamber breakfast, on September 6, will focus on some of the benefits of our own horse racing industry.
The morning will start with a tour of the stables with local horse trainer Terry Evans and his morning track riders.
Local horse Arise Augustus, Mid North Coast Country horse of the year will be on display.
Horse acupuncture therapist Bronwyn Bray will demonstrate how injured horses are treated.
We will then move up to the new VIP marque for breakfast and to watch some track work.
Terry Evans will explain his employment path for young people wishing to join the horse racing industry.
A number of representatives from the Racing NSW involved in training and mentoring jockeys, drug and alcohol management in the industry and a head steward will discuss aspects of the industry.
Should be an interesting morning and another opportunity to meet and mingle with other local business people.
