As the largest national fundraising event in the Southern Hemisphere, this year Cancer Council hopes to raise $2.6m in NSW and $6.7m nationally.
Since its inception, Daffodil Day has raised more than $133m for life-saving cancer research, support services and prevention programs.
“This year, Cancer Council is proudly celebrating 30 years of Daffodil Day. By buying and wearing a pin on this national day of hope, northern NSW locals can continue contributing to life-saving cancer research, advocacy, prevention programs and support services,” Daffodil Day co-ordinator Sarah Royall said.
Daffodil Day pins are available for sale from Forster Stocklands and in Wharf Street, at the Tuncurry chemist and in Manning Street.
