Mr Simpon’s matter was adjourned to September 6, while Mr Hilder was committed to trial at Newcastle District Court in August.
Hilder and Simpson were arrested on two separate occasions earlier this year as part of Operation Carpet, an extensive police investigation into drug supply in the Manning and Great Lakes area.
Detectives will allege that Hilder supplied his Forster-Tuncurry Hawks players with drugs following a trial game in Kotara in late February.
Simpson will face charges relating to the supply of a prohibited drug and to receiving and disposing of stolen goods.
Darren Coombes, who was arrested at Hallidays Point as part of Operation Carpet, has plead guilty to his charges and will be sentenced at Taree Local Court on August 2.
