Both teams were looking to regain momentum in the competition after Wallis had the bye the previous week and Tuncurry suffering an away loss to Taree Wildcats.
The game started frantically, with both teams looking to break the deadlock early.
Wallis were quick to settle the game before a 30 yard strike by captain Beau Wynter hit the back net before the keeper could react. Wallis maintained pressure throughout the first half, forcing a scrambling Tuncurry defence several important clearances.
Difficult weather conditions saw Wallis step up their quality and resulted in Mitch Clark finding himself on the end of a through ball by Bayden Schumann which from an impossible angle, rattled the cross bar, and was unlucky not to double the lead before the break.
The second half saw a rejuvenated Tuncurry come out of the sheds with an attacking flair, but the undefeated defence of Wallis Lake was more than up to the task.
Ethan Perry provided a class act as he rounded the keeper and was unlucky as his shot was cleared off the line by Tuncurry which would have put the game to bed at 2-0.
However, the game became a midfield battle, with Roan Whiteman, Mitch Yarnold and Jayden Carmody injected onto the park to stabilise the team which allowed Wallis to see out the result 1-0.
Wallis Lake reserve grade looked to continue their form which found them at the top of the table after the first 10 rounds.
Wallis dominated the entire first half, creating many goal scoring opportunities and were unlucky to go into the sheds at half time with the score still deadlocked at nil all.
Wallis hit back to level the scores after Tyler Cook squared a ball to Jarrod Naylor who finished top corner.
The game looked set at 1-1 until a last minute through ball by Jayden Carmody landed Tyler Cook one-on-one with the keeper as he rounded the keeper and secured the win with the scores at 2-1. Wallis Lake take all six competition points back across the bridge.
