Was it a police officer or teacher, or maybe something more exciting like a spy?
Recently Great Lakes Advocate photographer Carl Muxlow went to Forster Public School to find out what their kindergarten students wanted to be when they grew up.
“When my child was in kindy I was curious to see what he wanted to be when he grew up,” Carl said.
“I thought this would give the kids’ parents the opportunity to hear what they would say from someone who is not part of the family, to get an honest opinion.”
Carl said he hoped to track the kids down in 10 years to see if their desired occupations had changed.
Some of those professions were both desirable and achievable, like joining the police or becoming a teacher.
However, some kids said they wanted to become Batman.
“One wanted to be Robin,” Carl said.
“I thought that was pretty cool because everyone usually chooses the main superheroes.”
