Again a great splash of colour, green, red & white, the colours of the Italian Flag, greeted the visiting CWA members and guests on their arrival at Wallamba Showground Hall for Wallamba CWA Branch’s culmination of all things Italian.

Special guests included Member for Myall Lakes Stephen Bromhead, MNC CWA Group President Gay Cowan from Port Macquarie, MNC CWA Group International Officer Betty Bird, Wallamba President Iris Cummings and Branch International Officer Penny Britton.
A huge display of artefacts from Italy was a focal point and the tables were tastefully decorated with small Italian Flags, sprigs of fresh rosemary, bougainvillea flowers and a program of the day’s event.
After lunch, the members & guests were entertained by Yr 4 Students from Nabiac Public School under the direction of their Teacher/Librarian Brian Dawson performing a light hearted play “how do you solve a problem like Maria?’ who had a broken heart. All the youngsters are to be congratulated on their wonderful performances.
Guest speakers were Wallamba member Jill Hammond who spoke of her recent travels to Italy and Louise Collins who also spoke of her travels with both ladies showing scenes via a PowerPoint presentation.
Funds from the Coins for Friendship Bowls raised $100 and this will be sent to HO to support the International work of NSW CWA in the South Pacific Region and funds for those less fortunate.
Another successful day and many thanks to the Branch members ensuring everything went smoothly.
