THE sick seal has not been seen since Sunday, ORRCA president Ronny Ling said.
However, Mr Ling said he took that as good news.
"Maybe the seal traveled to a new spot or is heading south," Mr Ling said.
"We've had no reports for last two days, which is great."
If anyone does see the seal phone the ORRCA hotline on 9415 3333.

THE seal that has made its home on the rocks at Tuncurry and Forster over the past few weeks is sick according to ORRCA president Ronny Ling.

However, Mr Ling said at the moment it was well enough to recover alone.
“The National Parks and Wildlife Service (NPWS) had a vet go look at the seal,” Mr Ling said.
“They liaised with Taronga Zoo and will let the seal recover in wild, which is ideal.”
Mr Ling said the seal had lost a lot of body condition so ORRCA would continue to monitor it.
He also said the seal’s eye may have a problem, however it was too difficult to tell.
“Seals suffer a lot of injuries in wild,” Mr Ling said.
“And it appears to have something there with its eye. We are not sure if it is temporary.
“But seals don’t rely on their eyes.”
Seals are nocturnal hunters and rely on other senses more than vision.
“Out of 10 the eye injury would be a one or two compared to other injuries it could have,” he said.
Mr Ling said it was the same seal that was spotted at Forster and Tuncurry.
“It is moving around, which is a good sign.
“If people see the seal call the ORRCA hotline so we can get down there and monitor it.”
The ORRCA hotline is 9415 3333.
