A man will appear in court after he was arrested and charged with numerous firearms offences at Forster on Monday.

Back on April 15, 2015, police arrested a 27-year-old Forster man and during the arrest police became aware of several firearms.
Inquiries into the firearms continued and investigators obtained a search warrant for the man’s home in Cabarita Avenue.
Officers executed the search warrant that afternoon and allege they found a pistol and a rifle. They were seized for further forensic analysis.
Police from Manning Great Lakes Local Area Command have continued their search for the 27-year-old man without success.
Forster detectives from Forster saw the man in Cabarita Avenue after him.
With some help from their colleagues, the officers arrested the man who was allegedly hiding in a cupboard in a home on Cabarita Avenue.
He charged with two counts of possess unauthorised firearm, two counts of possess unregistered firearm and two charges of failing to keep a firearm safely.
He has been refused bail to appear at Taree Local Court on Tuesday, May 26, 2015.
