The prominent four-day event, held from June 11 to 14, will see over 150 competitors – aged 35 and above – battle it out in an attempt to secure a NSW shortboard title and a spot in the national titles at the 2015 Australian Surf Festival in Coffs Harbour.
Divisions for the event include: Over 35 Men, Over 35 Women, Over 40 Men, Over 45 Men, Over 50 Men, Over 55 Men, Over 60 Men and Open Single Fin.
“This event has gone from strength to strength over the last three years and Surfing NSW is proud to host it and witness some of the amazing surfing that consistently rears its head at this particular competition,” said Surfing NSW CEO Mark Windon.
Moby’s Beachside Retreat will host a free dinner and movie night for competitors on Friday, June 12.
Surfing NSW will also host a surfing program in the Great Lakes area which will provide surf lessons for indigenous participants. Any Indigenous participants who are interested in registering should email: claire@surfingnsw.com.au.
