Troy Hilder’s first frade side have started the season in fine style winning both their opening games, scoring some classy tries along the way. Prop Forward Matt Kirkland impressed during last weekend’s representative fixtures and has had his efforts rewarded with selection in the NSW North Coast side.
The reserves are sitting equal first on the table on the back of a couple of spirited efforts, while Tom Freeman's Under 18 team have exciting players across the entire field, and have had two of their squad, Greg Press and Tim Thomas, selected to play with the Under 18s Dolphins representative side.
Kylie Hilder, Co-Coach of the Hawks League Tag side, has also been busy on the rep scene, playing her 50th match for Australia in the Open Mixed division of the 2015 touch football World Cup - a remarkable achievement.
Sunday’s game is also the Women in League round and also falls, fittingly, on Mother’s Day. The Hawks would like to welcome all the mums and their families to Harry Elliott Oval on Sunday for what promises to be a great afternoon of country rugby league.
The ladies kick off proceedings at 11.30 with the first grade clash at 3pm.
