The popular event returns this year and will no doubt continue its popularity with locals and visitors.
There will be three events held, with an ocean ski race and two ocean swims, one 700m and another 1500m.
There is expected to be a strong field, with previous races attracting more than 200 competitors to race for cash prizes. Prizes will be awarded in individual age groups.
Registration is now open for the event and entries can be made on the day (with an additional late entry fee). All funds raised through the event will go towards Black Head Surf Life Saving Club’s mission to make the ocean and beach a safer place to swim and for the local community and visitors to have fun.
At around midday, a barbecue and presentation will conclude the day. The club’s bar will be open from 10am.
Entries can be made online via www.oceanswims.com or entry forms can be downloaded from www.blackheadslsc.com.au and then mailed to Black Head Surf Life Saving Club Inc. at P.O. Box 55, Hallidays Point 2430.
