SES deputy region controller for the Mid North Coast Tony Day said the storm hit at about 8pm and lasted for about an hour.
"Forster-Tuncurry appeared to avoid the worst of the storm but Nabiac and Minimbah areas were hit particularly hard. Crews responded to 10 calls for assistance in those areas," he said.
Calls were predominately for fallen trees, water inundation and blocked roads.
