The program’s goal is to get women from around the country, who are over 30, active and back on their bikes.
Whilst everyone in the Spring program benefited from improved fitness and skills it had a significant impact on the lives of participants Rhonda Chalker and Vicki Rumble.
“I love riding my bike with the family. So when I heard about She Rides I decided to give it a go. At first I was nervous and worried I wouldn't be skilled enough or fit enough. But this worry was eased very quickly by our lovely instructors. After every session I would return back home to my family feeling so happy and I couldn't wait until the next week. Thanks so much to Kez, Heather and Amy for giving me the confidence and skills to enjoy riding,” Rhonda explained.
Vicki joined She Rides last year because a girlfriend talked her into it.
“Well I got so much out of the course - not only did it build confidence it has added to my health and well being. I am achieving things on my bike I would not have dreamed about as I had not ridden for approximately 30 or 40 years. I was so chuffed when my 11-year-old grandson asked if he could come riding with me. The girls who conducted the course were also great,” she said.
She Rides Forster is commencing for autumn, from March 14 with only this week left to register.
Conducted on Saturday mornings from 7am, with the registration, locations and further details being located on the She Rides website www.sherides.com.au
