The Manning Point Bowling Club celebrated its 50th anniversary on Sunday, February 22, with adverse weather not deterring members and well-wishers of the club.

The day was celebrated with a commemorative cake and a game of bowls and many members taking the time to look through the old photograph albums detailing the early years of the club.
Manning Point also invited Harrington Bowling Club and the Railway Institute Bowling Club to attend.
“Everyone there thoroughly enjoyed themselves,” said director Joan Wisely.
Reaching the half-century mark wasn’t the only thing celebrated on the day, with three members being recognised for 30 years with the club.
