But the Transport Management Centre has now advised that one northbound and all southbound lanes have reopened, however, one northbound lane remains closed.
Motorists are advised to allow extra travel time and exercise caution. Emergency services and traffic crews remain on site. There may also be intermittent lane closures as the truck is recovered.
David Reeve who contacted the Advocate via Facebook said it was a truck load of hay that caught fire.

Northbound motorists are advised to delay their trip as there is currently no suitable diversion.
One southbound lane remains open, but motorists are advised to allow extra travel time.
Motorists should also exercise caution as emergency services and traffic crews are on site working to put out the fire.
