After featuring in the Great Lakes Advocate last week, Mr Fisher said he has received several phone calls from locals but none have been able to reunite him with his dog.
“One lady called me and said there was a dog wandering around the Tuncurry area but the description didn’t sound that much like Chukka and it’s not like her - she doesn’t have much street sense. I’m in Sydney at the moment so when I’m back I will have a look around there and see what comes out of it,” he said.
“It really is a mystery for her to have disappeared just like that. I thought maybe I would have seen some trace of her by now.”
Chukka disappeared from Mr Fisher’s Failford property on September 24.
She is dark brown with white markings on her chest and on the top of her paws and is de-sexed and microchipped.
Mr Fisher is offering a $1500 reward to anyone who safely returns Chukka.
