THE Lakes Way at Rainbow Flat has been identified as the third worst road of the NSW North Coast region, according to Australia's largest road survey - the National Roads and Motorists' Association's Seeing Red on Roads campaign.

Also on the list was Taree's Wingham Road at number five.
The Pacific Highway at Coffs Harbour topped the list of the worst roads in the North Coast with the Bucketts Way at Allworth second and Thora's Waterfall Way coming in at number four.
The Pacific Highway at Coffs Harbour also topped the top 10 list as the worst road in NSW.
Over 12,000 motorists voted for the worst section of road across NSW and the ACT.
