This week’s mystery photo, donated to the Great Lakes Museum from the estate of the late Austin Chapman, shows members of Black Head Surf Club pictured with a float thought to have been decorated for the Oyster Festival Parade.
Austin can be seen standing second from left in the group of four aboard the float.
Vic Godwin can also be seen standing sixth from the left in the front row. There are no other names documented with the photograph. If you recognise any of the faces or can help date the photograph, museum volunteers would love to hear from you.
