The enthusiastic Blues side ran out 16-4 winners in the game which was played in perfect conditions at Wauchope’s Lank Bain Sporting Complex.
Wauchope has now beaten the Hawks in their last three encounters and they were always in control on Sunday, dominating possession and field position while giving the Forster Tuncurry playmakers no room to work their skills.
Melissa Finlayson scored the Hawks’ only try in the first half, cancelling out an early Wauchope touchdown, but it was the Blues who led 10-4 at the break and they managed to score the only try in the second stanza.
