TWO men were rescued after becoming stranded near the Tuncurry breakwall on Monday morning.

Surf Life Saving Lower North Coast Branch director Julie Wilcox said a man believed to be in his mid 70s was spotted drifting around 80 metres from the Tuncurry breakwall at about10am.
Another man on a stand up paddle board saw the man and paddled out to assist him when he reportedly ran into trouble.
Surf Life Saving volunteers remained on standby with police while Forster Marine Rescue volunteers launched a boat out to the area.
A Marine Rescue boat retrieved the two men soon after and the men were brought back to safety.
The man in his 70s was taken to Manning Base Hospital for observation.
Mrs Wilcox said with a dangerous surf warning from issued until Friday from Sydney to the Queensland border, locals and visitors are encouraged to reconsider their coastal activities.
The Bureau of Meteorology advises that an easterly swell is expected to reach 3.5 metres in some areas of NSW with a swell period of up to 11 seconds.
Conditions are expected to peak today and Thursday and will begin to ease on Friday.
Surf Life Saving NSW is encouraging people to avoid rock fishing and water activities on exposed beaches and rock shelves and swimming at unpatrolled beaches.
