It shows Manning Street Tuncurry with the two-storey Bellevue Hotel in the background which was located on the same site it is today. The delivery van for Tuncurry Bakery can be seen at right.
No names are documented with the photo so if you recognise any of the faces, museum volunteers would love to hear from you.
Project volunteers are currently documenting and digitising images from the Great Lakes Museum’s collection of group portraits in preparation for uploading to the clickHistory Great Lakes database.
The joint project between the Great Lakes Library and museum to build a permanent online database of local history images will be launched in November. You can visit clickHistory online at: www.clickhistorygreatlakes.wordpress.com or contact the Great Lakes Museum on 6554 6275 (Tuesday to Thursday from 10am to 2pm).
