Mop handle used to fight off armed robber

A man armed with a carving knife entered the Caltex Service Station in Forster about 9.40pm, threatened the attendant and demanded money.
When the attendant fought back with the handle of a mop, the man fled the store empty-handed.
The man was dressed in black and had his face covered.
Police have obtained CCTV footage and will continue their investigations.
